QWAK,over the years I have bought many things for my SURVIVAL kit and many did not work out because they just were NOT praticle.

I am shure tht Poncie would agree that MANY ideas for inventions just DON'T work out as well as we thought they would when we first had the IDEA of inventing them!:thumpdown HE HE HE

KNOLAGE and UNDERSTANDING of how to use what you got even if all you got nothing but what ever is laying around, will HELP you MORE than a truck load of equipment that cost you a fortune should the truck run out of gas or get stuck in the mud!:confused:

The BEST survival tool you will ever have is your MIND! Keep a COOL TOOL and keep it SHARP! Feed your BRAIN with INFORMATION,pratice your SKILLS and TEST your self to see IF you can ACTUALY do the things YOU think you can, because in an EMERGENCY it is a real bad time to find out you CAN'T!:eek:

Your best two weapons at hand are for free and those are your mind and your body......if you are not mentally prepared for what is going to happen and you are in shape to do something about it then it would not matter what else you have at hand.

The trick to surviving is to be able to make many items with one object and learn its uses.

Like I keep saying "Is not what is but what you make it be"..... Ponce

QWAK,IF I had just one thing and that was ALL I could have it would be my BIG SWISS ARMY KNIFE!

Over the last 40+ years I have worn out 4 or 5 usualy LOSING them but have actualy sent 2 back to have blades I ABUSED and broke replaced FREE at the factory.

More often than not even with 3 tool chests taller than me full of tools of every shape and discription I first grab my swiss army knife and IT does what I need it to do. IF I can't fix it with my swiss army knife I know I got a BIG JOB!:proud:

Developing the SKILL to use tools and use them properly with out hurting your self or some one else is WAY more important than having ALL the tools to build a space shuttel!

What AGRAVATES me today is that almost every thing is NOT designed to be repaired just thrown away! So many critical parts are made of PLASTIC that gets britle and breaks and then the whole thing becomes almost useless.

Yes, it really bugs me too. It's almost as if the secret aim of the whole modern economy is to turn the planet into garbage as rapidly as possible.

That's why I was so happy when Magic Superglue came along. I've been able to extend the life of a fair number of things using that. Get a big bang out of doing it too.
